We are a group of 4 from Narva-Jõesuu, Estonia. Anatoli, Irina, Olga and Valdemar.
Some of us are a minority in our region, some are a minority in the country.
Who we are? That is a very good question. Irina is Estonian who is tightly connected to a Russian minority in our region, but she feels herself Estonian through culture and language although her family is half Estonian half Russian. Anatoli, Valdemar and Olga feel themselves as half Russian half Estonian. So we are a mix as „mitmevilja mahl“ (multifruit juice) 🙂
We all have our moments in life when we feel Who We Are. For us these are probably holidays! And everyone has its own.
Irina and Olga are more like „Jõulud“ (Christmas in estonian).
Valdemar is more like „Новый год“ (New Year in Russian)
Anatoli is more like „Jaanipäev“ (Midsummer Day in estonian).
It’s very valuable for us that we are different, but it’s even more valuable that we are together!
