Nahia is a Basque woman who moved to Girona, Catalonia, at the age of 18 to study. For her, learning Catalan straight away was an act of respect - the same openness she hopes visitors to the Basque Country will show her. In the video, she makes an important distinction between a numerical „minority“ and a „minoritized community“ created by state oppression and historical attacks. This shared experience of marginalization fosters a deep sense of solidarity between different regions and illustrates how flexible one's identity can become.
